Acupuncture compliments a massage with great success and inspires fast results for both acute and chronic pain.

Acupuncture dates from the 3rd century BC It recognizes over 2,000 points in the human body that connect 12 major meridians and 8 minor meridians. Meridians are energy pathways and pain equates to stagnation within the pathways. Massage with acupuncture can be a relieving combination to move painful or stagnated areas of the body.

When experiencing an acupuncture treatment, hair thin needles are gently inserted into appropriate areas of the body to stimulate the flow of Qi or energy at each point. Placed needles release blocked energy and guide the body back to its natural balance. Acupuncture needles are hair thin, sterile and used only once Needles may be placed and set for up to 30 minutes. While needles set, massage on other distal areas of the body may ensue for maximum relief. Because the needles are so small there is usually no blood associated with the treatment.
